· John has been in the real estate business for 52 years and will be attending his 52^nd PAR Convention in 2010.

· He became a broker in 1961 and has operated his own business, Capers Real Estate since 1962.

· He became a state certified residential appraiser in 1992.

· He has chaired every committee at his local association in Butler County and served as Board President 10 times.

· John was named REALTOR® of the Year by his local association twice.

· John has served on PAR’s Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Legislative Committee, as a RPAC Trustee, on the Convention Advisory & Marketing Group, Credentials Committee, and is a current member of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Convention Advisory & Marketing Group, Legislative and RPAC.

· In 2003, PAR awarded him the Distinguished Service Award.

· He previously served as District & Vice President in 1985 to 1986.

· John is a member of the Butler County Tax Assessment Appeal Board, the Butler Country Club, the Moose, Elks, VFW, American Legion, the Lionel Collectors Club of American and the Toy Train Operators Society.

· He enjoys collecting Lionel electric trains and golfing.
