Web Linking Policy

The Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS ® ("PAR") requires that individuals wishing to link to any page on the PAR website ("users") comply with the following conditions:

Users may not employ any technology that places the content of any PAR page in a frame on any site or presents the page in a manner that alters the content/format of the page from that which would be viewed by a user accessing the page directly from the PAR site.

No user may place a link to the PAR site from any site containing offensive or obscene content.

From time to time PAR may place information on pages, which may or may not be password-protected designated for use only by PAR members or staff. Users (including PAR members) may not link to any portion of a "members only" or "staff only" page without express written consent of PAR.

All documents contained on the PAR site are copyrighted by the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS or used with permission. A user may not copy or reproduce the information for use directly on the user’s site without express written consent from PAR. No materials from the PAR site may be made available for download, downloaded or otherwise copied, electronically or manually, for any use that would violate PAR’s copyright of that material.

No user shall utilize links to the PAR site in any manner which suggests that PAR sponsors, endorses or recommends any of the information, products or services on the linking site, unless the information, product or service is in fact sponsored, endorsed or recommended by PAR. Users who are not members of PAR shall place a disclaimer on their site substantially similar to the following text: "Nothing on this site is meant to imply membership in the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS, nor to imply that the Association in any way sponsors, endorses or recommends any of the information, products or services on this site."

The term "REALTOR" is a registered trademark, as is the stylized block R logo. Graphics representing these and any other similar trademarks or service marks held by any REALTOR organization may not be used as a graphical link to the PAR site without the express written consent of the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS or holder of such trademark, as such use could suggest an endorsement or recommendation of the linked site. This is not meant to restrict the rights of PAR members to utilize these trademarks in any manner consistent with usage rights otherwise conferred by Association membership.

Users that have established a link to the PAR site shall send an e-mail containing a reference to the linking site to mmanion@parealtor.org. This information may be used to periodically verify that links to the PAR site are maintained in conformance with this policy. PAR may attempt to notify users of changes to the PAR site that may affect their links, but does not make any representations, warranties or guarantees that it will do so, or that any particular link on the PAR site will be functional at any time.

PAR reserves the right to request at any time that any link to its site be removed, whether for violation of this policy or for any other reason. Users agree to remove any link to the PAR site, at their own expense, within 5 working days of such a request. If PAR determines that a user has violated this policy, PAR reserves the right to require that user to obtain express written consent before creating any link to any portion of the PAR site from the user’s current site or any site the user may be affiliated with in the future. If PAR believes that a user is violating the terms of this policy, PAR reserves the right to pursue any and all civil or criminal remedies that may be available.

PAR may alter this policy at any time, and any link to the PAR site is subject to the most recent version of this policy. Users are advised to check this page periodically to determine whether links from their site continue to be in compliance with this policy.
