The USA PATRIOT Act and the Presidents Executive Order #13224, along with its Special Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons list (SDN) are both intended to curb, and prevent, business interactions with terrorist organizations.  While real estate brokers and agents have some responsibilities under the Act and the Executive Order, these responsibilities differ depending on the type of transaction and the level and type of involvement by the broker or agent.
